Household water filters containing Lewatit® ion exchange resins are used to treat hard tap water
containing lime by removing the calcium and magnesium salts (decalcifying).
Substances that impair the taste and odor are removed so that the flavor of beverages like tea and coffee can develop to the full.Lead and copper ions are also adsorbed by the Lewatit® cation exchange resins and exchanged for hydrogen ions.
